Finnish born, Paris-based makeup artist, beauty and creative director, Makka Elbaz has paved a long and impressive career in the makeup industry.

Globally recognized in her craft, Makka Elbaz has garnered more than 20 years of international experience in the cosmetic industry at LVMH, holding positions as international makeup artist, artistic and education director.

Makka was a key figure in the development and expansion of MAKE UP FOR EVER as Global Director of Artistry & Education and a key member of its Executive Steering Committee.

Throughout her career she has inspired and developed the skills of countless makeup artists worldwide.  Working side by side with the founder, she designed an education programme which harnessed the famed Make Up For Ever fundamental makeup techniques, making them accessible to both Pros and consumers, in an effort to sharpen their techniques, in their creativity building and esthetical eye development. She excels in people’s creativity and inspirational developpement with her unique “Makkastyle” approach. She creates engaging content creation using multi-mediums such as illustration, digital, video or photo.

She is multidisciplined in her art, mastering all makeup specialties from natural no-makeup looks to complex fine art reproductions on the body. Her artistic flexibility to travel within different beauty and creative worlds while always remaining elegant has become her “trademark”.

A soulful creator with Nordic effectuality, pragmatism and work ethic, Makka Elbaz is a trustworthy Lead Makeup Artist leading numerous makeup teams over the years in Paris and Milan Fashion weeks as well as in international film festivals in Cannes or Dubai. She has collaborated with renown photographers such as Ellen von Unwerth or Pierre & Gilles; Haute Couture fashion designers such as Zuhair Murad, Georges Hobeika or Ziad Nakad, PAP designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Shiatzy Chen or Bernard Wilhelm, celebrities such as Cardi B.

As a beauty industry expert, Makka has extraordinary instinct for accentuating brand identity whilst embedding the realities of cultural relevance, trends, budget and timelines. Her refined aesthetic and astute business acumen allow her to create impactful, elegant and innovative imagery to drive brand campaigns.

With a robust understanding of pigment, ingredients, formulations and international legislation Makka was integral to the development of many successful beauty products.

As an inspirational speaker, Makka has been regularely invited by international trade shows and conferences, in people’s motivation, creativity and change management. She speaks 6 languages: French, English, Spanish, German, Finnish and Swedish.

With her sparkling personality, natural leadership and strategic vision she has constituted an international community of beauty creatives and producers : make up artists, photographers, video makers and other creatives with whom she collaborates regularly.

2020: Makka Elbaz has founded MEÏKKI, a global beauty and makeup consulting agency.
